Cool Off in the Creek this Summer on our guided Rainforest Walk

For more information or bookings contact:

Take a relaxing  heritage rainforest walk  and chill-out by the creek. The tour winds through sections of dry-eucalypt forest before dropping quickly into the cool sheltered understory of wet rainforest at the bottom of the gorge. Walk beneath towering tree ferns as you stroll along a nearly 200 year old convict built road down to the creek. Enjoy a cuppa before lazing around the water and cooling off in the pristine waters of Bowens Creek.

Expect some great scenery and beautiful sections of rainforest on this walk.

Walk Notes:

The walk is approximately 2-2.5 hours in duration (approx. 10kms) with a looping track that goes from the top of the valley, down a lumber/convict track (some scrambling with assisted ropes), to the creek (for a swim if needed) where we can boil the billy & have a light snack, where we then walk out back to the top with a steep incline (we take it slow).

We 4WD out of the top section for a bit of fun (you can choose to walk out also).

I would give the walk a medium rating (advanced bush walkers might consider it easy) - suited for mix of ages from 8 to 60 (we have had mixed groups do it & have a great time). Some history of the area & tracks will be shared as we go.

We recommend long pants/shirt to reduce the incidents of scratches - but up to your personal choice.

There are several spots to take photo's - a light camera is recommended. Sunscreen & water (small bottle) are also recommended.

The price is $75/pp paid in advance or $120 for a couples booking. Minimum 2x people per booking, other people may be part of your group.
