A New Frontier: Love Cabin II under Construction
Utilising the original popular timber-slab design developed by Lionel Buckett, we are happy to report that Love Cabin II is getting now closer to completion. Situated on a lightly forested ridge-top in Berambing, Love Cabin II has beautiful views through the trees looking across Bowens Creek Gorge towards Mt Wilson. This new cabin is designed to be completely off-the-grid, and will maintain a self-sufficient solar power system and state-of-the-art waste management system to ensure the surrounding stunning World Heritage environment is not impacted.
If the popularity of our other timber slab designed cabins is anything to go by we expect guests will really enjoy staying in this mountain cabin. You can keep up-to-date with developments by visiting our Facebook page.
Cool Off in the Creek this Summer on our guided Rainforest Walk
Take a relaxing heritage rainforest walk with tour guide Jamie and chill-out by the creek. The tour winds through sections of dry-eucalypt forest before dropping quickly into the cool sheltered understory of wet rainforest at the bottom of the gorge. Walk beneath towering tree ferns as you stroll along a nearly 200 year old convict built road down to the creek. Jamie makes a master brew, so you can enjoy a cuppa before lazing around the water and cooling off in the pristine waters of Bowens Creek.
Expect some great scenery and beautiful sections of rainforest on this walk.
